But seriously, folks, just about everyone on Earth who has a blog is doing so because she or he has a desperate need to be heard. If I didn’t have a column in the Gazette, I’d probably feel the same. Instead, I have a desperate need to be burped.
I read that the average number of readers per blog on the World Wide Web is one. I’m hoping to at least triple that.

Mike – I think it would be a great story and of great interest to your readers if you would look at how the Hawkeye women turned their season around. After at least one horrible loss (Duke, I believe) early in the season, they turned it around and finished with a strong second place in the Big 10. They must have done something right the past couple months….
