I thought about writing a column for Tuesday’s Gazette about this, but I didn’t know Julia Kelly, the mother of University of Iowa basketball player Jake Kelly. Nor do I yet know Jake. And what can you say except you feel for him, his brother, and their extended family?
All I know is what an unspeakable nightmare it must be for Jake to deal with his mother’s sudden death due to a plane crash last weekend in Florida.
Julia Kelly moved from Indiana to Solon to be close to her son. That speaks for itself.
